Staking
The best way of investing your capital
What is EGLD Staking?
When staking EGLD, users, also called “delegators”, deposit at least 1 EGLD token with a staking provider, also called a “validator”, and thus make a valuable contribution to securing and decentralizing the Elrond blockchain. In return, delegators receive rewards in the form of EGLD. An usual delegator reward or return, called “APR” (annual percentage rate), varies between 9% to 12%.

Let your money work for you
The main reasons we invested in the Elrond Network becoming staking providers are the Elrond team’s integrity and reliability.
The quality and values of the people behind this network give you the peace of mind that you’re money is in good hands and you’ll have a guaranteed return on your investment.
Hint: DO NOT think quick and easy money but rather start thinking long term regardless of what you see or hear about the market’s fluctuation, you won’t regret it.

In order to operate a node (a server/computer in the network) in the Elrond blockchain as a validator, the validator must deposit a minimum of 2,500 EGLD. Validating transactions will also be rewarded in the form of EGLD and every validator chooses his/her own reward (also called a “service fee”).
The beautiful thing about all the Staking Providers listed on the Elrond website (explorer.elrond.com/providers) is that they all use the same exact Smart Contract which was audited and certified by Elrond, thus making every Staking Provider very safe and secure.
There are only a few things a Staking Provider can customize for their own company and that includes the Computed APR, Service Fee, Delegation Cap, etc.
The Smart Contract used by every staking provider listed on the Elrond’s website (explorer.elrond.com/providers) only allows you, the delegator, to add more of your EGLD or withdraw your EGLD from that staking provider. The Staking Provider has its hands tied up and cannot touch your EGLD.
The minimum amount required to join any Staking Provider is 1 EGLD.
